Read The Lightning Thief: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 1 reviews from parents on Common Sense Media. the girls are starting to take more of an interest in the boys and are 4/5.
The Lightning Thief is the first book in the Percy Jackson series. It is fast paced, well-written, and full of loveable, believable characters -- even if they are children of gods. This whole series is an excellent read for anyone, and a choice pick for parents who are looking for exciting, fun, clean books for both boys and girls to read/5(K).
Plus, I didn’t just choose books that are “Like Percy Jackson.” I’m all for getting kids to read different kinds of books and genres. The thread that holds these chapter books together: they are fast paced stories of kids (or in one case, cats) on life changing, suspenseful adventures.
Some are fantasy, some are even historical fiction. when I saw “ Books For Boys” I’d think how to train your dragon series would be in there plus dangerous book for boys oh well. I am looking forward to reading the lord of the rings books, Percy Jackson, the Hobbit and the hardy boys, it seems you never see to many hardy boys books floating around here in this world.
